7 mandatory things that need to be done before winter comes. 1. Winter tires. Don't wait for the first snow, change your tires now. The grip of summer tires on the road deteriorates already at +7°C. 2. Battery. Winter is a difficult time for batteries. Check its condition and charge level before your car fails to start in the cold. 3. Antifreeze. Make sure that the antifreeze level is normal, there are no leaks and the fluid does not need to be replaced. 4. Heating system and heating. Check in advance whether the heated windows, mirrors and interior are working properly. 5. Windshield wiper blades. If streaks of water or dirt remain on the glass when the wipers are operating, it is better to replace the blades. After all, in winter, windshield wipers work more often and more intensively than in summer. 6. Chips and scratches on the body. Winter moisture mixed with road reagents accelerates metal corrosion processes. Therefore, before winter it is better to remove all flaws in the paintwork. 7. Door seals. Water that gets on the seals freezes them to the moving parts of the body and when you try to open the door or lower the window, the rubber breaks. To avoid this, treat the seals with silicone grease. And it’s better to do this after every wash in winter.
