NEW RULES FOR AUTOMATIC DETECTION

Starting August 25, 2026, Kazakhstan has expanded the use of automatic traffic violation detection. Cameras may now be installed on: — buses on regular routes; — ambulances; — vehicles belonging to government agencies. They will be able to detect: — failure to yield to emergency vehicles with active signals; — violations while driving in a dedicated lane; — violations of stopping and parking rules. Important: this does not mean cameras are already installed on every bus or ambulance. The system will be rolled out gradually. Drivers should stay alert — the old assumption that "there's no camera here" no longer holds.
